Danielle & Travis's Engagement Session......

If You follow my blog you will recognize Danielle from her photo session last year. When she called and wanted us to photograph their wedding this year, we were really excited! Needless to say I was really looking forward to shooting their e-session. On their day, I had it in my mind of going to one of our normal outdoor locations. Then Travis springs on me that he has access to an Army Humvee for us to use! Needless to say we loaded up and headed to it! On the way my head was spinning with ideas. Having worked with Danielle before and using a Humvee, I knew that this session was going to be pretty cool. Well it was! Thanks again guys! Enjoy........

Justin & Josh's Senior Sessions.....

Last week I finally had a chance to work with twins and their Senior Photos. What better pair to photograph then Josh & Justin! I have known them for a couple of years and was really excited when they came in earlier this year to book their sessions!
The trick was to photograph them together yet seperate and not have images that looked the same! We had a great time starting out in the studio and then roaming downtown Sioux Falls. Thanks guys! See you soon!

Kari's Session......

Kari came in couple of days before her session to talk about the details. I could tell she was a bit excited and ready! When her day came, she pretty much moved into the studio. Well by the amount of clothes she brought it looked like it! Kari you did an incredible job! Enjoy!

Annie & Ben's Wedding......

Ben & Annie's wedding day was nothing short of fun! From the moment we started clicking the shutter to when we said good-bye we really had to be on our toes. Ben and his guys were taking every opportunity to inject their fun into the day. Ben and Annie really are fun to work with and know how to have a great time! Thanks guys, enjoy your sneak peeks!

McKenna's Day!

McKenna was the winner of a local photo contest. As the winner she won a session in our studio! What a cutie! Sure had a great time! Thanks McKenna!

Brady and Kristy's Wedding Day

After a great day Friday for an outdoors wedding, we wondered what Saturday would be like. Turned out to be perfect! Kristy and Brady's wedding was in the sunken garden at McKennan Park. Beautiful place for an outdoors wedding
We had so much fun covering their wedding day! Thanks again guys. You were great to work with! Enjoy your sneak peek!

Ben & Treasure's Wedding Day.....

Last Friday we were just outside of Toronto, SD for Ben and Treasure's wedding. We knew going into it that they were doing a Renaissance theme wedding. This is not the first time for us, but I knew that this one was gonna be fun. The wedding was at a beautiful Italian Villa style home. Really a great setting for their wedding. Because it was a Renaissance style wedding, we really tried to photograph the whole day from a bit of a different angle. Not the typical formal groups or posed images. Love challenges like that!
Thanks guys, enjoy your sneak peeks!

Eli's Senior Session.....

When a Senior from my old High School walks into the studio, their is a sense of school pride that comes over me. Sound corny? Yea probably. So when my son's school plays Washington, who do I pull for? Ummmm can't say ; ).
Anyway...... Eli came in for his session this last week. As usual we had a great time. I will be at a couple of games this year and look forward to watching him play! Thanks Eli, enjoy the sneak peek.....

Grandma Camp 13

Last Saturday we were invited to Bonnie and Jerry's home to photograph their family. Every year Bonnie hosts "Grandma Camp" for all of her grandchildren. When your family is living all across the country, it is an awesome thing when you can get them all together! Becky and I were happy to be a part of their gathering even only for a few moments.
If you are planning a family reunion, gathering or a weekend with the kids, please consider a family portrait. Seems too often that we hear of families going years in between portraits. Call and book your session. I promise Mom won't be disappointed!

Evans Family Portrait.....

We were fortunate to have the Grandpa & Grandma Evans in the studio last week with their grandkids. I have worked with Larry on many occasions through different charity work and other events. To have him and Nancy in was really a treat for us.

Cam's GSR.....

Our oldest Son Cameron grabbed one of our cameras and headed out the door to take a few shots of his & Z's car. That was a few weeks ago. Since then he has been nagging me wondering if I even took a look at em? Honestly no, till today.
I took a few minutes from my day and dressed up a photo for Cam. His brother Chase does an awesome job for me photographing the LifeLight Music Festival. Cameron's interest is in cars and actually, I thought he did a great job composing the image and giving me something decent to start with. Here you go Cam, enjoy the photo of your car! Dad....

Our Signature Staff Photo

Our Commercial market really has started to take off. We are working with a large number of businesses providing traditional and casual professional portraits. We are excited to now offer something new! Jeff the manager of KNWC Radio in Sioux Falls and I have been planning on updating their individual staff photos and a group photo. After listening to their needs we presented a solution that will fit all their needs. I didn't want to do the traditional stiff necked group photo. We wanted to do something a bit more fun and inviting! Below is an example of our new Signature Staff Photo for KNWC. All individuals were shot at different sessions. We then pulled all the portraits together to create what you see!The greatest advantages to our business clients is time! Their staff was able to schedule their own 20 minute session. When they come in we photograph them and they choose their favorite portrait. So what if your staff grows, changes or shrinks? No problem! We can easily remove and individual from the photo. If you need to add staff, only the new employees need to come in for their session!
Call our studio at 605.336.0777 to see how we can help your company.......

New Wedding AD......

Marketing and advertising are really strange. We are in the middle of photographing this summers weddings, yet it is time to start preparing for next years advertising! Thought we would share a new ad that you will see this summer.

Maria's Session

Maria was in yesterday for her Senior Session. When saw Maria carry in her violin case, I got a bit excited! I really love working with musicians. Maria is no exception. Full of fun and drive! I have to say that when I asked where she would like to go outside, she mentioned her church. I am a follower of Christ. He is the reason I do what I do. However when Maria mentioned her Church I have to admit I was caught off guard. It's not every day that a Senior wants to do their photos in a church. I knew the church and it's lighting challenges. I was honored and humbled to be in the sanctuary photographing Maria. Yes we photograph weddings all the time in churches. This was different. Maria chose to photograph in the church because it is part of who she is. Thanks Maria, enjoy the teasers!

Aaron's turn......

Aaron came in for his session but outside the weather was really crappy. So we went ahead and shot his indoor photos. Thursday we get to finish outside with his cool Honda! Looking forward to that one!

Cody's 2nd Session

Cody came in last week for his 2nd session. Cody as always is a lot of fun to be with and certainly photograph. Being best friends with Chase, maybe I am a bit bias, nah....
Couple of weeks ago on his 17th birthday Cody enlisted into the U.S. Air Force. Like Chase being in the military is something that he has looked forward to for a long time. When we first started planning his senior session, I knew I had to do something special for him. Do you know how many favors I had to call in and how much it cost to have those jets fly over for me? ; )
Thanks for being a friend and a part of our family Cody! Enjoy your images......
